Portland Metro Real Estate Market Update for May 2024

In May 2024, there were 3,508 new listings in Portland, Oregon metro area, which is a 8.3% increase from the 3,240 listed in May 2023, and an increase of 12.4% from the 3,120 listed in April 2024.

2,363 pending sales last month show a 0.7% decrease from the 2,379 offers accepted in May 2023, and an increase of 2.2% from the 2,313 offers accepted the previous month in April 2024.

Closed sale count of 2,140 this past May was an increase of 6.6% from the 2,008 closings last year in May 2023, and an increase of 13.6% from the 1,883 closings last month in April 2024.

Inventory decreased to 2.3 months in May 2024. Total market time increased to 86 days, with the average home sale price of $629,000, and a median home sale price of $558,500.
