Portland Metro Real Estate Market Update for August 2024

In August 2024, there were 2,669 new listings in the Portland, Oregon metro area, which is a 8.7% decrease from the 2,923 listed in August 2023, and a decrease of 8.1% from the 2,905 listed in July 2024.

2,052 pending sales last month remained steady from the 2,053 offers accepted in August 2023, and a decrease of 6.3% from the 2,191 offers accepted the previous month in July 2024.

Closed sale count of 1,957 this past August was a decrease of 9.2% from the 2,155 closings last year in August 2023, and a decrease of 5.7% from the 2,075 closings last month in July 2024.

Inventory increased to 3.0 months in August 2024. Total market time increased to 48 days, with the average home sale price of $620,800, and a median home sale price of $555,000.
