    Nathan Cano understands the curiosity, having that logo for his company in the Pacific Northwest.

    “It’s kind of an odd fit,” he says. “I would think many customers would think it’s illogical. ‘Why the Palm Tree? What’s up with the Palm Tree?’”

    Truthfully, when Nathan introduced the Palm Tree as the company logo in 2003, it was personal. He wanted to pay homage to his father, who left Cuba when he was a boy and embraced America and all of its opportunities. The Palm Tree represents the inspiration his father provided Nathan.

    Since then, the logo’s meaning has evolved. It is not just for Nathan now but for all of Cano Real Estate’s clients. The Palm Tree has come to represent paradise, and paradise is where one calls home.
