On August 14, 2023 the Cano Real Estate headed out to Camas Meadows Golf Course to cheer on golfers in the 2nd Annual Jeremy Brown and Don Sahota Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by the Vancouver Police Officers Guild and the Clark County Deputy’s Sheriff Guild. All of the proceeds for this event go directly to local scholarships and charities in honor of fallen officers.
This has been an annual event for the past 15 years. In 2022 the event was renamed in honor of two local heroes, CCSO Sgt. Jeremy Brown and VPD Officer Don Sahota. In 2022, the event raised just over $25,000 dollars with 100% of the proceeds going directly to local scholarships / charities in their honor.
Cano Real Estate became involved as a golf tournament sponsor in 2022 as an extension of our Giving Back to Those Who Service program, spearheaded by real estate broker and retired police officer Steve Dobbs. Our team had such a great time supporting our first responders on the course that we could not wait to come back this year. Our team roasted in 100+ degree temperatures but happily greeted golfers and gifted them some swag from our event tent. Although Steve Dobbs could not be at the event this year, he was present as a photo prop.
